Percolator bongs come in all shapes, sizes and styles and can be difficult to navigate.
The amount of water you add depends on the design and number of percolators, but here’s a general rule of thumb:
Main Chamber/ Base:
Add water until the down stem is about 1.5 – 2.5 centimetres submerged.
This is enough for filtration without splashing into your mouth when inhaling.
Percolators:
Each percolator should be submerged just enough so that its slits or holes are under water.
Splash Guard/Mouthpiece: Make sure no water gets close to the splash guard or mouthpiece.
If water hits your lips when you inhale, you’ve added too much.
