The best way to store your product in an airtight glass container or jar placed in a cool, dark, and dry spot.

Key Tips for Long-Term Preservation

  • Airtight Glass Jars: Glass is ideal because it does not create static that can strip trichomes from the buds, unlike plastic bags.

  • Control Humidity: Use two-way humidity control packs (such as Boveda or Integra Boost) to maintain a relative humidity (RH) of 55% to 62%.

  • Cool and Dark Location: Store containers in a closet or drawer (approx. 15-21°C / 60-70°F)

  • Avoid Fridge/Freezer: Contrary to popular belief, the fridge or freezer is not ideal for regular storage because it can introduce moisture, cause mould, or make trichomes brittle.

  • Avoid Plastic Bags: Plastic creates static and is not airtight, causing buds to dry out and lose flavour.

Additional Best Practices

  • Size Matters: Use a container that fits the amount of cannabis; too much air in a large jar can oxidise the buds, causing THC to degrade into CBN.

  • Don't Pre-Grind: Only grind your marijuana right before use, as grinding increases the surface area exposed to air, leading to faster degradation.

  • Store Separately: Keep different strains in separate containers to avoid mixing aromas and flavour profiles.

  • Safety: Always keep marijuana in a secure place, out of reach of children and pets.

Properly stored, your product can retain its potency and freshness for 6 months to 1 year, and sometimes up to 2 years.
